Mark and his wife Linda have faced many challenges, but nothing prepared them for their fight against prostate cancer.

“The day the doctor actually said, ‘You have prostate cancer,’ it all became a blur. I didn’t hear a thing that was said after that,” – Mark

After Mark’s diagnosis, Linda spent countless hours researching everything and deliberating over what the best course of action should be. It was an added burden at a time when they were already struggling to cope.

That’s where a Prostate Cancer Specialist Nurse can help. Our nurses understand the fear and grief and they listen and provide informed advice when it’s needed.

Mark and Linda didn’t hear about our Prostate Cancer Specialist Nurses until after Mark had treatment. Had they met with a specialist nurse, they would've had someone to help them better understand the diagnosis, explain the different treatment options and coordinate Mark’s care.

“We just needed someone to understand exactly what we were going through. Someone to take the pressure off.” - Linda

Right now, there are only 43 Prostate Cancer Specialist Nurses in Australia. Our goal is to fund 110 so that every man diagnosed with prostate cancer will have access to life-changing, expert nursing support and advice when they need it most.

But we can’t do this without you. Please donate today to help fund another 67 specialist nurses to be there for more men like Mark.
