“I lost my beautiful husband and the kids don’t have a father anymore.”– Bonnie, wife of Howie, who died of prostate cancer at the age of 53.
Howie was six feet four and larger than life. There was nothing he wouldn’t do for his friends and family. His life immediately changed when he was diagnosed with prostate cancer. He and his wife, Bonnie, did everything they could to fight it, but his condition continued to deteriorate.

Bonnie was at home with the kids the day Howie left them. He was just 53.

“I knew that day was the day, I could tell by his breathing. His very last breath was to open his eyes. I think that was his way of saying that’s me, see you on the other side” – Bonnie
Sadly, prostate cancer cuts short the lives of 3,300 Australian men each year. That’s nine men every day. Each life lost is a father, a husband, a son, a brother or a best friend.
By funding life-saving research, you can help us find new treatments and deliver better outcomes for men like Howie, before it’s too late.
We’ve achieved some amazing breakthroughs, but there is still so much to do and so much hope. Any donation, large or small, will make an amazing difference.
Please help to fund vital research so we can save more fathers and husbands just like Howie.
